My name is Larneka Lavalais, and I am the founder and owner of Larneka Lavalais, LPC PLLC, where I serve as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a dedicated mental health advocate. At Larneka Lavalais, LPC PLLC, our mission is clear: "Advocating for change through Education, Conversation, and Empowerment."  We are committed to providing essential mental health services and resources to underserved communities, ensuring that everyone has access to the support they need to thrive. In pursuit of our mission, we offer a range of initiatives aimed at promoting mental wellness and resilience within our communities.

These include:

 *     Free and low-cost therapy sessions: Breaking down financial barriers to mental health            care.
 *     Free mental health workshops: Empowering individuals with knowledge and coping              strategies.         
 *     Free monthly support groups: Providing a safe space for mutual support and                              understanding.               
 *     Scholarships for graduating high school seniors: Investing in the next generation's                    mental health advocates.
 *     Thanksgiving Basket/Gift Cards for families in need: Ensuring no one feels alone                      during the holidays.

While our practice operates on a "for-profit" basis, our commitment to community service remains unwavering. To date, I have personally funded many of these projects, often in collaboration with other community organizations. Despite my initial intentions, the impact of our efforts has garnered recognition from the community, resulting in various awards and honors.

On Saturday, June 22, 2024,  I am organizing a virtual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Seminar titled: "Embracing Diversity by Creating a Welcoming Environment for All."  This seminar aims to foster greater understanding and support for LGBTQ+ individuals in various spheres, including workplaces, educational institutions, and broader communities.
